This system is defined as such because it is composed of a combination of 2 different machines: the condensing boiler fuelled by lpg or methane) and the heat pump (electrically powered).
The hybrid system has a mechanism of intelligent control, which can optimize the consumption of electricity and gas.
You can basically divide the operation into 3 main groups:
- Temperatures higher than 7 degrees, in which works only the heat pump;
- Temperatures close to 0 degrees, in which they work in symbiosis condensing boiler and heat pump;
- Temperatures lower than 0 degrees, in which works only the condensing boiler.
Since the majority of the work, as is visible, the place just the heat pump, it is possible to achieve major savings on gas consumption.
At the level of the installation, and finally, the hybrid system does not represent some problems, as it requires minimal adjustments compared to a traditional boiler and does not require changes to the existing system, which may be also used for cooling the environments, thanks to the heat pump.
